Social Work Practice with Children in Immigrant and Refugee Families: Distinguishing Unique Risks and Cultural Competence

In 2017-2018, for the Institute for Community Health Promotion/Collaborative Research Initiative (ICHP/CRI) under the Research Foundation for the State University of New York, I engaged in research in collaboration with social workers. The purpose of this project was to develop training material for social workers to help identify risks with their migrant clients, and address their needs in a culturally competent manner.
